ABOUT JANSSEN ARTSPACE
JANSSEN ARTSPACE was established in the Spring of 2006 when Steven Janssen opened the doors to its first location in Palm Springs. In its first incarnation, the gallery boasted numerous group exhibitions and art events, taking the Palm Springs art scene by storm. Then, sadly the Great Recession hit and the gallery was forced to close its doors after 3 very successful years in 2009.
Keeping the legacy of the gallery alive, Janssen hosted many pop-ups and arthouses with a handful of gallery artists during the 8 years in between. Then, in 2017, he found the perfect space to relaunch Janssen Artspace in its new location. The new gallery space is in the Welmas Building, designed by renowned architect Donald Wexler in the late 1960's, right in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Wexler's signature use of glass and steel is prevalent in its design, bringing an incredible amount of natural light into the vibrant space.

In May of 2017, Janssen Artspace was reborn and he opened the gallery with a solo exhibition of his own paintings "Desert Abstraction." Steven has continued to use the same business model, masterfully curating each group exhibit and transforming the entire gallery with each themed show,
every month during season.
Rolling into year 7 and surviving a global pandemic, the gallery continues to thrive, "wowing" art collectors, designers, tourists, and the community of Palm Springs. Janssen Artspace has been featured in many publications including, Goop, Palm Springs Life, Voyage, Los Angeles Magazine and One Eleven Magazine.

For over 18 years, Janssen Artspace has maintained relationships with individuals, clients and designers who seek assistance with placing art in their homes, client's homes, offices, and public spaces. Our desire to begin, build or improve a collection of art for a certain individual requires sensitivity, identity, awareness, value, and meaningfulness.
Choosing the appropriate artwork(s) should reflect the soul of the client and we are continuously aware of the individual's aesthetic.
Our number 1 goal is to create a happy and intriguing environment for the collector, unique to one's needs, that persuades them to return for future art advisory.
INSTALLATION
Professional installation of artworks purchased from Janssen Artspace, collaborating closely with clients,
designers and architects, bringing the artwork to life in its most thoughtful space. Custom framing advisory
available as well. Hourly rates vary depending on the size and the number of artworks needed to be installed.
